Little Gasparilla Island (LGI) is a barrier island with seven miles of beautiful white sand beaches on the west coast of south Florida.

It is centered between Sarasota and Ft Myers on Florida’s West Coast. Located within Charlotte County, the Island is near the mainland community of Placida. It is immediately north of Gasparilla Pass and is in close proximity to Boca Grande, considered to be the “tarpon fishing capital” of the world. This hidden treasure of an island is comprised of three islands that were actually at one time, separated by deep water channels. The channels have, over time, filled in making the three islands one long island. The current length is about 7 miles with variations in width. The part typically referred to as “Little Gasparilla Island” is about 2 miles long. The remaining 5 miles is made up of Don Pedro and Knight Island, both of which are north of Little Gasparilla Island.
